"The Forge"

Our main faith formation program, "The Forge", takes place in the Church on Tuesday evenings from 5:45pm - 6:50pm, leading into Mass at 7:00pm and our weekly "Pray and Play" (Adoration 7:30-8:30, followed by games in JP2SC).
"The Forge" consists of talks, Bible studies, and discussions to inspire and equip you for a deeper relationship with Christ and an authentic proclamation of the Gospel. We'll examine biblical themes and teachings, illuminated and guided by the Sacred Tradition and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. We'll study the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the wisdom of the saints as well. St. Paul instructs St. Timothy to "carefully study to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
The name of the program derives from the book of the same title by Saint Josemaría Escrivá (d. 1975). It evokes the idea of being founded, refined, and formed by the Holy Spirit through prayer and the teaching of the Church:
We look forward to seeing you at "The Forge" this Tuesday evening.

Waterloo Chinese Catholic Community
The Waterloo Chinese Catholic Community is a family at the heart of spiritual development and fellowship. We gather to share our Catholic faith with each other through prayer, scripture reading, catechesis, and personal discussions. WCCC is also a place for rest and support during times of crisis and happiness for all our members.
WCCC was founded in 1972 as a Bible study group to provide Chinese Catholics a home in the University of Waterloo. However, we welcome everyone regardless of their race or creed.
We meet every Monday at 6pm in the St. John of the Cross room at the St. John Paul II Student Centre. Come join us!
